    OBJECTIVES

    INGRES1 is he first of the INGRES series. All these projects are funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation and are conducted by the Physical Oceanography Group of the University of Malaga, Spain. INGRES1 started the long-term monitoring of the Mediterranean outflow at the Strait of Gibraltar in year 2004 and it has been prolonged by INGRES2 (CTM2006-02326) during 2007-2010 , the "Accion Complementaria" CTM2009-05810/E in 2010 and, presently, by INGRES3 (CTM2010-21229) until year 2014 . T his last project is a coordination of two sub-projects, the second one being run by the Cadiz Oceanographic Laboratory of the Spanish Institute of Oceanography ( IEO) under the responsability of R icardo Sanchez). IEO was partner of INGRES1 project as well.
